Cold stamping in conventional offset Packagings of odour and taste sensible fi llings
All papers and carton boards which are suitable for the packaging printing.
• low migration
• good printablility
The cold stamping glue LMI is printed like an offset printing ink from the ink unit. In the next working step the fi lm layer of the cold stamping foil is separated from the carrier fi lm and is adhering at the printed spots. The appropriate choice of cold stamping foils should be made in accordance with the supplier of the foils. The applied quantity of varnish and the stamping speed depend on the substrate. Printability tests are recommended - especially when the substrate is unknown.
100% ink quality - and for environment‘s sake. J+S offer fi rst quality inks manufactured without harming the environment.

The OF Cold stamping glue LMI is recommended for manufacturing of food- or pharmaceutical packagings. It is formulated under consideration of its application in a way that a potential migration through the substrate as well as a migration in the roll or stack by set-off from the printed exterior side to the side facing the food is as minimal as possible. Attention should be paid to the fact that migration and migration by proof are also depending on the conditions of process and on the suffi cient barrier properties of the substrate. Low odour and migration properties were respected during the formulation. This varnish is only suitable for indirect food contact.
The varnish is in general suitable for the following food packaging:
• Smell- and taste-sensitive food of any kind
• solid, paste-like or liquid, greasy or aqueous food
The OF Cold stamping glue LMI is not permitted for direct food contact. Furthermore the application for food packagings which are destined for microwave or oven application is only recommended if there are existing analysis which are specially aligned with this application field.
